MOVEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL!!! Most pain and illness begin as a lack of movement and physical activity. EXERCISE SAVES YOU MONEY. Many surgeries are preventable with proper exercise. I recommend specific simple and safe exercises to the vast majority of my patients. The greater their dedication to these exercises, the less they have to see me and pay me.
Breathing
Breathing is fundamental to all forms of movement and exercise I teach. The quality of your breathing directly correlates with the quality of your health. The popularity of Breath Work exploded in recent years, with the Wim Hof Method as one of the most popular. I address breathing with, and give practical instruction to, everyone who comes to my clinic. The respiratory system is the one organ system we have conscious control of, and it can be used to regulate and harmonize all other organ systems.
Chi Gong

CHI GONG: A simple, powerful, self-healing and mindfulness practice. It activates the body’s natural healing response by stimulating the circulation of blood, lymph, and bodily fluids, and increasing the level of availability of oxygen in the body’s cells . Chi Gong promotes the harmonious flow of the body’s electr0magnetic currents. This is a powerful practice for knowing your body and mind on deeper levels.
Tai Chi

Tai Chi originated as a fast, powerful martial art. Today, Tai Chi is most widely known as a slow, gentle practice that promotes wellness. Truthfully, it is both. I often tell people, “Speed hides crappy technique; if you can’t do something well slowly, you don’t really know how to do it.” For my purposes as a practitioner of healing arts, we use Tai Chi in its slow, gentle form to heal injuries and promote relaxation. Regular Tai Chi practice increases joint mobility and general physical and emotional awareness.
Therapeutic Exercise
In keeping with the mentality that “Movement is Medicine,” I recommend specific exercises patients can use to overcome their specific challenges. Various systems and traditions influenced my approach to therapeutic, healing exercise since the early 2000’s. In addition to Chi Gong and Taichi, I draw upon Systema, the native Russian Martial Art, and primal movements popularized by systems like “Animal Flow.” What all of these systems offer is valuable insight into healthy breathing, joint health, proper posture, and coordination.
